CAMP GUADALUPE
SESSION 1: June 13–July 1, 2011; 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

TUITION: $300 for each three-week session. All participants must have a current GCAC membership at the $25 level.
CAMP GUADALUPE LOCATION: Guadalupe Gallery, 723 S. Brazos Street
Camp Guadalupe is a culturally rich summer camp for ages 8-12 who want to explore their creativity, develop their artistic talent, make lifelong friendships and have FUN! We offer intensive multi-disciplinary experiences in creative writing, dance, media arts, music, theater arts, and visual arts. Campers select a major art focus in the morning, and a minor discipline to study in the afternoon. Camp Guadalupe is packed with a full day of arts activities including snacks and a supervised lunch. Each session culminates in a performance in which all students participate.
TEEN ARTS PUENTES PROJECT SUMMER ARTS INTENSIVE
Open to all San Antonio teens, ages 13-17
Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m.– 4 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
ORIENTATION DAY: Friday June 10, 10 a.m.– 4 p.m.

TAPP LOCATION: Guadalupe Theater, 1301 Guadalupe Street
The Teen Arts Puentes Project (TAPP) is a multimedia arts and activism program for San Antonio youth. Members take workshops in theater, visual art, poetry, and film/video, with projects and events focused on fostering healthy personal relationships, community engagement, and self-reliance. Each session culminates in a performance/exhibition with a city wide tour of the show at the end of the summer. Students interested in participating in TAPP must fill out an application and attend orientation day. Scholarships are provided to all teens accepted into the program. All participants must have a current GCAC membership at the $25 level. Mexican Folklórico Dance Classes
All students are introduced to different regions, costuming and music in traditional Mexican Folklorico dance; while more advanced students learn more intricate choreographies.
Chiapas/Jalisco: Ages 4-6

Students learn basics of Flamenco dance including rhythms, footwork, and armwork. Intermediate & Advanced progress on to more challenging technique and choreographies.

Beginning Guitar: Ages 8 to Adult
Mondays 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Intermediate Guitar: Ages 8 to Adult

Beginning Accordion with Eva Ybarra: Ages 8 to Adult
Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Students will learn the fundamentals of accordion while learning traditional songs.

Who can attend classes?
Classes are open to the public. Unless otherwise noted, most classes are geared towards students who are new to the subject matter, at the beginner level.
How do I pay my monthly tuition for Dance or Music classes?
Payments can be made:
(1) by calling the main office at 210.271.3151,
(2) by mail at 1300 Guadalupe Street, San Antonio, TX 78207, or
(3) online.
Are there any discounts?
GCAC Members at the Familia level ($55) receive a 15% discount on the cost of classes.
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
The GCAC reserves the right to cancel, combine or reschedule classes, or to change class instructors when necessary. If we must cancel a class, we will notify you as soon as possible and you will receive a full refund. If you must cancel registration, we require a minimum of seven days notice prior to the class start date for a full refund. Notice of withdrawal by a student must be made in writing and received no later than seven days prior to the first day of class. We charge a $20 administrative fee for any cancellations requested less than seven days prior to the start of the class. No refunds will be made for withdrawals made after the start date of a class. Failure to attend classes or verbal notification will not be regarded as an official notice of withdrawal. The registration fee of $25 for your membership is nonrefundable.
What are the main office hours?
The main office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on all major holidays.
Will I get to perform at the end of the session?
Classes will culminate in a presentation of work via an exhibition or a performance.
PAYMENT FOR ALL CLASSES: Full payment is due upon enrollment. The GCAC accepts checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover).
